Okay. I'm going to play to win here. Tight and aggressive.

Why do these people shove with small pairs when the board pairs? And why does the other guy call with his small pair? That makes no sense.

54 suited in the BB and two people limp. I flop a gutshot and Alice min bets. I call, we check it down, and I pair my 5 and win. Woohoo.

KQ on button with a raise to 90 raise and a call. I'll see a flop here. Flop comes a Jack and two rags. I fold to Dave's half-pot bet, and I'm back where I started with 1500 in chips.

AQo in the big blind and Alice limps. Flop 996 and the turn is a 10 He min bets and I fold my ace high since there's only 100 in the pot.

There goes Dave. Frankie and Gretchen are gone too and the blinds aren't even 50 yet. Hank is the chip leader with 3000 but it's anyone's game.

Whoops. There goes Charlie. Alice is cleaning up and is now in first place.

And now he takes out Evan and I'm 4th of 4 with 1365.

I try bluffing Alice with my 78 off but he won't have it.

Raise 3x with A5s on the button. Alice calls. I pair my ace and get one spade. Alice calls. I'm in danger here. Ah. I won. Whew.

Hank shoves twice in a row. I take a gamble and call with KJ. He wins with ace high, and I'm out.

Watching the table, Hank's still shoving pretty much every hand. I kinda figured that's what he was doing. It's probably just his strategy when he hits the bubble.

I made a good read on him, but I probably should have held out for
better cards to call. According to this hand
simulator
, his A5 wins 57% of the time against my KJ.
